Some of the Area’s Who’s Who’s list of High School basketball players laced them up Friday night in the annual Baltimore County vs Baltimore City All Star game. The Baltimore County All-Stars jumped out to a huge lead in front of a pack Dulaney High School gymnasium. The County Stars shot well from behind the arc headed by Rashaud Garrison, Demauri Warren, Mark Brinkley, and Gates Cook. New Town’s Ty’Kei Ferrell was a dominant presence inside providing several highlights dunks for an explosive County squad.
Despite negative social media rumblings and a lackluster start, Baltimore City All-Stars battled back into the game on the hot hand of Southwestern’s Donnie Moore and Digital Harbor’s Donald Green. The City duo combined for 54 points in the contest. Down 24 points in the first quarter, the City stars chipped away cutting their deficet to 2 late in the fourth quarter.
In the end, the County All-Stars were able to hold off a scrappy City squad 116–112. Woodlawn Warriors Rashaud Garrison finished with 17 and Demauri Warren 18 points on the night. Titans Ty’Kei Ferrell took home the County MVP with 12 points. Digital Harbor’s Donald Green received the City MVP leading all scorers with 30 points.
