The highly anticipated match-up between #1 Mt. St. Joe Gaels (8-0) and #2 Polytechnic Engineers (2-1) lived up to the hype Saturday afternoon. In front of a packed arena, it took overtime for the Gaels to finally put away the Engineers in the William Wells Challenge. A key moment in the game is when Temple University commit De’Vondre Perry (18 pts) fouled out with less than 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Engineers junior guard Demetrius Mims filled the Perry void before the trio of Gaels (Bishop (17 pts), Smith (17pts), and Morsell (13pts) finished off Poly in extended play.
