Timonium, MD- 4th ranked Dulaney Lions (8-1) put on impressive team shooting clinic Friday night in a 103-45 victory over Parkville. The Lions were on fire from behind the arc after guard Ryan Conway knocked down the first 3 shortly after tip-off. Overwhelmed by the hot shooting, Parkville had no answers in stopping the Lions early in the contest. Dulaney scored an impressive 67 points by halftime (67-21 half).
2020 Small Forward Che Evans Jr led all scorers with 34 points on the night. Evans, known for attacking the basket, also demonstrated improvement on his jump-shot against Parkville. The four star standout’s mix of skills complimented hot shooting teammates Conway, Isaiah Cornish, and Cameron Byers.
On the other side, 45 points is a season low for the 6-2 Knights. Not the outcome Coach Josh Czerski’s squad expected, especially with a talented trio of Jordan Strickland, Terry Owens Jr, and John Godinez. Parkville will attempt to place the ugly loss behind them as they get set for Aberdeen on the road Monday.
Dulaney will have a 4 day hiatus before hitting the road to play Hereford Wednesday. The Lions are mentioned as a strong contender for the County and 3A state title.
