Local youth athletes via St. Frances Academy received an opportunity of a lifetime as several big name college coaches were in attendance at Patterson Park today. University of Michigan’s John Harbaugh partook in 1 of 39 satellite camps he’s hosting around the country during the off season. The camps have stirred up some controversy among the NCAA. Coach Harbaugh shared his views with the media regarding unfair treatment of college football. University Maryland Head Coach DJ Durkin agreed with his former bosses stance during the camp. The event included lacrosse sessions and Michigan’s cheerleading team.

Former Gilman Head Football Coach Biff Poggi and former University of Maryland interim Head Football Coach Mike Locksley were also in attendance. Coach Poggi is now apart of the University of Michigan staff as an assistant, Coach Locksley joined Nick Saban’s staff the University of Alabama.
