NBA Legend Celebrates Sister’s Service For The City

Baltimore great and NBA legend Muggsy Bogues was in Druid Hill this week to celebrate a day in honor of his late sister. Sherron Bogues, who passed away July 2015, was a main stay with the Baltimore Department of Recreation and Park. For much of her time with the Department, Sherron guided the basketball and football leagues for Baltimore City. The celebration included games for the youth, food, music, and a marching band. Former teammate and NBA 1987 fourth overall draft pick Reggie Williams was also in attendance. The Baltimore standouts were joined by their former Dunbar high school basketball Coach Bob Wade, Leon Howard, and long time friends of the Bogues family. Sherron Bogues dedicated 30 years of her life to youth of Baltimore City. The Bogues family thanks the Department of Recreation for their assistance in such a memorable event.
